Air Products Greater Massena Scholarship Fund
In partnership with the Northern New York Community Foundation (NNYCF) and a $25,000 grant from the Air Products Foundation, Air Products has established the Air Products Greater Massena Scholarship Fund. As part of Air Products’ commitment to supporting a sustainable planet, the company has established the Scholarship Fund to foster the next generation of skilled workers, particularly those pursuing STEM education, skilled trades sciences, or expressing a specific interest in environmental conservation or clean energy.
Scholarships of up to $5,000 per applicant are available to students residing within St. Lawrence or Franklin Counties who are applying for admission in any year of study to a college or university or vocational, technical, or trade school. The NNYCF will oversee the administration of the grant fund and manage its distribution. Scholarship application will open February 1st, 2024, and applications are due by May 15.

Contribution to the Massena Volunteer Fire Department
Air Products and the Massena Fire Department have forged a collaborative partnership to support emergency response capabilities and bolster safety in the community of Massena. In addition to a $5,000 donation from Air Products that the fire department will use for training and equipment, key aspects of this partnership will include the deployment of enhanced training and the development of emergency response protocols specific to industrial gas incidents. By leveraging Air Products expertise and track record in safety, and the Massena Fire Department’s dedication to the community, this public-private partnership aims to enhance emergency preparedness and response capabilities that help ensure a safer and more resilient community.
Strengthening Community Bonds
Air Products stepped up as a Platinum River Rock Sponsor for Explore Massena’s 2023 Rockin’ the River: Beachapalooza event. Along with other sponsors, the company’s $2,500 contribution enabled event organizers to bring the magic of live music and entertainment to the town of Massena, strengthening community bonds among the nearly 3,000 guests in attendance throughout the day.
